What interesting color-fields. I'm torn between them. The darker one plays more with saturation, while the brighter one has a dynamic between the complimentary colors.
Perhaps a fun exercise, might be to tone the ground before you apply your over-strokes? Also experimenting with what surfaces you best like and how the paint interacts with say a smooth, sanded gesso region opposed to raw canvas? Might be fun.

I wanted to say I prefer the deep green but the light one is really good, too.

For the ocean, the deep green. For a garden, the green with red. These pieces make me want to paint.
